Ingredients
1 lb halibut
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tsps brown sugar
2 tsps smoked paprika
1 tsp cumin
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp dried thyme
½ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp salt
1 mango, diced
1 avocado, diced
¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
¼ cup cilantro, chopped
1 lime, juiced
Directions
  1. In a small bowl, toss together the mango, avocado, red onion, cilantro and lime juice. Cover and set aside to prep halibut.
  2. Prep your grill to 350 degrees F. In a small bowl, combine all your spices and brown sugar for the blackened rub. Rub the spice mix into the halibut, making sure it’s entirely covered.
  3. When your grill is ready, place your fish back side down and grill 5 to 8 minutes per side or until fish is cooked through.
  4. Serve immediately with mango salsa and your favourite sides.
